Five New Standards Released: Important Progress Made in China's Future Computing Standardization Layout

The reporter learned today that the State Administration for Market Regulation recently approved the release of five national standardization guiding technical documents in the fields of neuromorphic computing and photonic computing, including the "Neuromorphic Computing Reference Architecture" and the "Design Guide for Optical Matrix Computing Systems in Photonic Computing," marking important progress in China's standardization layout for future computing. The performance and energy efficiency bottlenecks of traditional computing architectures are becoming increasingly prominent. As key directions of next-generation computing paradigms, neuromorphic and photonic computing are ushering in overlapping policy and industry opportunities, but their technical routes are still in a stage of diversified exploration, urgently requiring a unified technical discourse system and evaluation standards. To this end, the National Intelligent Computing Standardization Working Group organized collaborative efforts among industry, academia, and research institutions to promote the formulation of a series of guiding technical documents, supporting the iteration of cutting-edge technologies and their large-scale application.
