Over the weekend, the daily number of ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz was only in the single digits for two consecutive days, below the average of 14 vessels per day over the past 10 days. According to ship tracking information from the 14th, over the two weekend days, four vessels exited the Strait of Hormuz, including ships carrying energy supplies, while 10 cargo ships entered the strait. However, these figures do not include vessels that turned off their automatic identification systems while passing through the Strait of Hormuz. Separately, according to the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations, a ship was struck by an unidentified flying object while transiting the Strait of Hormuz on the 13th, and the condition of the crew and the extent of damage to the vessel remain unclear.
