Yangtze River Delta railway transport plan for the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday released, expected to send 54 million passenger trips

Recently, it was learned from China Railway Shanghai Group Co., Ltd. that the 2026 railway Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday transportation period will run from September 23 to October 8, lasting 16 days. During this holiday transportation period, railways in the Yangtze River Delta are expected to send 54 million passengers. The peak day for passenger flow will be October 1, with an estimated 4.4 million passengers sent that day, which is expected to set a new high for single-day passenger volume during Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday transportation.
