According to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, from August 31 to September 6, 2026, the average purchase price of live pigs at designated pig slaughtering enterprises was 12.14 yuan/kg, down 0.6% week-on-week and down 18.4% year-on-year. The average ex-factory price of pork carcasses was 15.91 yuan/kg, down 0.5% week-on-week and down 17.0% year-on-year.
