iPhoneDuo is expected to support dual instances of WeChat.

Tech media outlet MacObserver published a blog post yesterday reporting that in a technical briefing on the iPhone Duo, Apple disclosed 6 exclusive application programming interfaces, with the most notable being support for app cloning. During the technical briefing, Apple introduced at least 6 APIs exclusive to the iPhone Duo, among which UIWindowSceneActivation supports apps requesting a second window. Apple stated that the iPhone Duo is its first model to support native app cloning, but new windows can only be opened on the inner screen, not on the outer screen. IT checked public information and found that iOS currently does not natively support "app cloning / app duplication" for example, it is not possible to natively install two independent WeChat apps on the same iPhone and log into separate accounts on each. According to Apple's technical briefing, on the iPhone Duo, users should be able to open two WeChat apps simultaneously and run different accounts independently. However, at this stage this is only theoretical support, and relevant hands-on testing remains to be further verified.
