As of the end of July, the total installed capacity of new energy in Xinjiang has exceeded 174 million kilowatts.
On August 18, Zhang Yingchun, Executive Vice Chairman of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, stated at a press conference held by the National Bureau of Statistics that Xinjiang's digital industry has a solid foundation and continuous transformation momentum. The region is persistently promoting the digitalization, intelligence, and green transformation of traditional advantageous industries such as energy and characteristic agriculture, while continuously cultivating new tracks and growth points in the digital economy. Focusing on key areas such as green computing power, cross-border digital trade, smart energy, digital cultural tourism, and smart agriculture, Xinjiang is continuously advancing the dual empowerment of digital industrialization and industrial digitalization, as well as collaborative development. In particular, Xinjiang has abundant wind and solar resources, and the approximately two-hour natural time difference with Central and Eastern China creates advantages in energy and space complementarity. As of the end of July, the total installed capacity of new energy has exceeded 174 million kilowatts, and six new energy bases with a capacity of over 10 million kilowatts have been established. The rich advantages of clean energy resources will lay a solid industrial foundation for building digital infrastructure, collaborating in digital industries, and sharing technological achievements with Shanghai Cooperation Organization countries.
