August 18: The "Wholesale Price Index for Agricultural Products" has risen by 0.14 points compared to yesterday.

According to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, on August 18, the "Wholesale Price 200 Index for Agricultural Products" was 115.61, rising by 0.14 points from yesterday. The wholesale price index for "basket" products was 116.14, increasing by 0.17 points from yesterday. As of 14:00 today, the national average wholesale price for pork in agricultural markets was 15.99 yuan/kg, a decrease of 0.2% from yesterday; beef was 68.25 yuan/kg, an increase of 0.2% from yesterday; mutton was 65.89 yuan/kg, an increase of 1.3% from yesterday; eggs were 10.51 yuan/kg, an increase of 1.1% from yesterday; and dressed chicken was 17.20 yuan/kg, a decrease of 0.8% from yesterday. The average price of 28 key monitored vegetables was 4.62 yuan/kg, a decrease of 0.4% from yesterday; the average price of 6 key monitored fruits was 6.91 yuan/kg, a decrease of 0.1%. The price of crucian carp was 20.11 yuan/kg, a decrease of 1.4%; carp was 14.33 yuan/kg, a decrease of 1.2%; white catfish was 10.45 yuan/kg, a decrease of 1.4%; and large hairtail was 42.33 yuan/kg, a decrease of 0.9%. Today, among the 46 key monitored varieties in the domestic wholesale market for fresh agricultural products, the top five in terms of price increases compared to yesterday were watermelon, spinach, duck pear, lettuce, and mutton, with increases of 3.2%, 2.0%, 1.5%, 1.5%, and 1.3% respectively; the top five in terms of price decreases were giant peak grapes, pumpkin, winter melon, Chinese cabbage, and green pepper, with decreases of 3.3%, 3.3%, 3.2%, 3.2%, and 2.8% respectively.
