Shanghai International Energy Trading Center: Imposing Restrictions on Position Opening for Certain Clients

The Shanghai International Energy Trading Center has issued a notice regarding the implementation of restrictions on opening positions for certain clients: On August 17, 2026, two groups of accounts under actual control exceeded the trading volume limit for intra-day opening positions on related contracts, reaching the processing standards set by the Shanghai International Energy Trading Center. The trading behavior of the aforementioned clients violates Article 16 of the "Management Rules for Abnormal Trading Behavior of the Shanghai International Energy Trading Center." Therefore, the Shanghai International Energy Trading Center has decided to implement regulatory measures to restrict these clients from opening positions on the corresponding varieties.
