Export slowdown, Russia considers supporting grain producers.
According to reports from three grain market insiders cited by the Russian News Agency's commercial consultancy, Russia is considering providing additional support measures for grain producers due to the slowdown in grain exports caused by restrictions in the Azov-Black Sea basin. Measures discussed at the Russian Ministry of Agriculture meeting on August 12 include extending the term of short-term preferential loans in surplus grain areas by up to one year. The meeting also explored subsidies for grain producers, which include additional funding for Russian-controlled areas of Ukraine. The Russian United Grain Company confirmed to RBC that it has begun selecting additional storage capacity for the federal intervention fund.
