Japan's 10-year government bond yield hits a nearly 30-year high again.
On the 17th local time, in the Japanese government bond market, the yield on newly issued 10-year government bonds, which serves as a long-term interest rate indicator, continued to rise, reaching as high as 2.91%. This figure is the highest since September 1996. It is reported that due to renewed tensions in the Middle East, combined with recent market concerns regarding the potential further deterioration of Japan's fiscal situation, Japanese government bonds have been sold off by investors, leading to a sustained increase in yields.
