Research shows that a new microbial photosynthetic system has the potential to efficiently produce chemicals.

The University of Turku in Finland recently announced that its researchers and peers have developed a new type of photosynthetic system. This system fixes microorganisms with photosynthetic functions onto nanocellulose membranes, enabling more efficient production of chemicals compared to previous microbial photosynthetic systems.
