It is currently summer, and driven by the increase in shopping mall exhibitions, cultural tourism activities, and the demand for family companionship, the robot rental market has entered a peak season. A reporter from CCTV Finance learned during an interview that some popular robots are now scheduled for over 20 performances a month. The companys responsible person stated that this year, rental orders for robots have increased by 30% compared to last year, and the variety has expanded from originally only performance robots to include fighting robots, coffee robots, bartending robots, and others. The daily rental price for humanoid robots has also significantly decreased, dropping from around 8,000 yuan at the end of last year to 2,000 to 3,000 yuan at the beginning of this year. As the market size continues to grow, robot rental services are becoming increasingly refined. Near a shopping mall in Beijing, a "robot ambulance" slowly drove up, and once the vehicle came to a stop, robot maintenance engineer Liu Jingyang immediately began to diagnose and repair a malfunctioning robotic dog. After several minutes of adjustments, the robotic dog was restored to normal, able to sit, stand, and perform corresponding actions based on instructions. Data shows that by April 2026, the number of robot rental-related enterprises nationwide is expected to reach 153,000, with 38,200 newly registered companies in 2025, marking a year-on-year increase of 55.7%. Institutions predict that this year, the domestic robot rental market is expected to exceed 10 billion yuan.
