Starting from noon, the weather gradually cleared up, which is favorable for the closure operations. After the firefighters arrived, they began the closure by pouring concrete into a wire mesh containing sandbags, significantly speeding up the progress. Additionally, the firefighters excavated a drainage channel next to the breach, which accelerated the backflow of water from the river, causing the water depth at the breach to drop by nearly 1 meter. Currently, the total length of the closure at the breach has exceeded half, and it is expected to be completed later today. Furthermore, according to the Henan Provincial Flood and Drought Prevention Headquarters, a breach risk occurred in the Xuchang Yanling section of the Qingxie River on the 13th, with a length of over ten meters.
