Zhang Hongwei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the Kaifeng Municipal Government in Henan Province, is under review and investigation.

On August 14, the website of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission reported that according to the Henan Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervisory Commission: Zhang Hongwei, a member of the Standing Committee of the Kaifeng Municipal Committee and Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Government Leading Party Group, as well as Executive Vice Mayor, is suspected of serious violations of discipline and law, and is currently undergoing disciplinary review and supervisory investigation by the Henan Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervisory Commission.
