News Broadcast: Our country accelerates the construction of a new generation of communication networks.
According to reports from CCTV News, this year, China has accelerated the construction of the new generation communication network, promoting upgrades of related infrastructure and innovations in cutting-edge technologies, continuously improving the integrated information and communication layout of air, land, sea, and space. A chemical company in Fuling, Chongqing, is one of the first pilot projects for the 10 Gbps optical network in the country. The company has developed an intelligent alarm system using the 10 Gbps optical network combined with AI algorithms, capable of sending early warnings at millisecond-level speeds and returning real-time 8K video. Currently, Chongqing has deployed such pilot projects in various scenarios including parks, factories, and residential communities. As an important component of the new generation communication network, China will start pilot projects for the 10 Gbps optical network in 2025, having already established 136 pilot projects. In addition to the 10 Gbps optical network, this year, 5G base stations have fully upgraded to 5G-A, supporting the connectivity needs of emerging industries such as smart connected new energy vehicles and embodied intelligence, with 6G technology deployment also accelerating. Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology organized special actions for innovative development in 6G through provincial collaboration, planning to form a batch of independent 6G technology solutions by 2029, providing support for the commercial application of 6G. Meanwhile, the construction of satellite internet is also speeding up. The national low-orbit satellite constellation and the Qianfan commercial constellation continue to launch in batches for networking, and the smartphone direct satellite connectivity technology has completed practical verification. Moving forward, the country will accelerate relevant technology testing and the construction of standard systems, promoting the establishment of an integrated communication foundation for land, sea, air, and space.
