Jilin's two major research institutes join forces to develop programmable photovoltaic windows.
According to "Jilin Release," recently, a research team led by Guo Xiaoyang and Liu Xingyuan at the Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, collaborated with the Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, to develop a programmable photovoltaic window with adjustable color and high-efficient thermal insulation, achieving coordinated control of visible light color, transmitted spectrum, and infrared reflection. This achievement integrates a wide color gamut, high color fidelity, and excellent thermal management capabilities, providing a multifunctional photovoltaic solution for low-carbon building facades that combines aesthetic value with energy-saving benefits.
