Maersk raises its earnings guidance for 2026, expecting a full-year underlying EBITDA of up to $12.5 billion.

On August 13, Maersk announced an upward revision of its full-year performance guidance for 2026, expecting core EBITDA to be between $10.5 billion and $12.5 billion, up from a previous expectation of $8 billion to $10 billion; core EBIT is expected to be between $4.5 billion and $6.5 billion, previously estimated at $2 billion to $4 billion. The company also expects positive free cash flow for the year, compared to previous expectations of at least negative $1.5 billion. Maersk stated that this revision is primarily based on the actual performance in the second quarter and improved visibility into business conditions for the remaining part of the year. The company anticipates that global container shipping volume will grow by approximately 4% for the full year 2026.
