699 A-level scenic spots in Henan temporarily closed, 120 graded homestays shut down.
Starting from August 10, many regions in Henan have experienced heavy rainfall and strong winds, increasing the risk of mountain floods and geological disasters in mountainous, waterlogged, and canyon areas. According to the Henan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, as of August 12, among the 859 A-level tourist attractions across the province, 699 have temporarily closed their doors and suspended visitor services, with the closure rate exceeding 80%. Among the closed attractions, there are 129 that are located in mountainous and canyon areas. All A-level scenic spots in Zhengzhou and some cultural heritage venues have suspended operations; all A-level tourist attractions in Zhoukou City have been completely closed; all 27 A-level attractions in Puyang City have also closed; and all 25 A-level attractions in Kaifeng City have closed. Additionally, 120 graded tourist homestays across the province have ceased operations.
