Home Depot: CEO on temporary medical leave, two executives to assume duties

Home Depot announced on August 12 that Chairman, President, and CEO Ted Decker will take a temporary medical leave, with plans to return in the coming months. The board approved Decker's recommendation to appoint senior executive Ann-Marie Campbell to oversee daily operations, while Richard McPhail will manage financial affairs and the Pro subsidiary. Independent lead director Greg Brenneman will preside over board activities during Decker's leave. As the largest home improvement retailer in the world, Home Depot operates 2,361 retail stores and over 1,280 SRS locations as of the end of the first quarter, employing more than 470,000 people. Its business spans the entire United States and territories, all 10 provinces of Canada, and Mexico. The company is publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange and is a component of the Dow Jones Industrial Average and the S&P 500 index.
