From August 11 to 12, influenced by the strong typhoon "Bailang" and its residual warm humid airflow alongside northern cold air, Beijing experienced a period of persistent heavy rainfall. The average rainfall across the city was 34 millimeters, with significant disparities in rainfall among different districts. The maximum rainfall and rainfall intensity occurred in Mujiayu Town, Miyun District, with totals of 206 millimeters and 96 millimeters per hour, respectively. Areas such as Shunyi and Yanqing experienced short bursts of intense rainfall, while Changping recorded an hourly rainfall intensity that broke historical records. At 8 PM on the 12th, the meteorological department lifted the orange warning for heavy rain, and the entire city of Beijing simultaneously ended its level two flood prevention emergency response.
