On August 12, China News Service contacted Shen Tong Express customer service, which stated that the heavy rain had indeed affected delivery times, and that delivery conditions would vary based on the severity of the rain in different areas. SF Express customer service indicated that some cities in Jiangsu and Zhoushan in Zhejiang are still affected by the current situation; Zhoushan has suspended collections and deliveries, while transportation in other areas will take more time. The customer service also noted that SF Express is currently offering "an additional 0.5 days for all products." Yunda Express announced that its headquarters promptly activated an emergency flood prevention mechanism due to extreme weather, forming a cross-departmental emergency response team to monitor weather warnings, road conditions, and the operational status of the entire network in real time. It will dynamically adjust transportation routes, plan detours for blocked routes, and flexibly allocate resources. For last-mile points severely impacted by flooding, the provincial areas will optimize relevant operational management arrangements based on actual conditions. Yuan Tong Express stated that it has immediately activated a typhoon and flood prevention emergency response mechanism, continuously monitoring the typhoon's path, weather warnings, and changes in road networks. It will coordinate relevant provinces to ensure personnel evacuation, site inspections, parcel protection, and transportation connections, and implement all emergency measures at the sorting centers and network points to protect the safety of personnel and parcels. In addition, ZTO Express issued a reminder on August 12 regarding the impact of unusual weather on parcel delivery times, stating that due to heavy rain, some highways have been closed and airport traffic capacity has decreased. As a result, the delivery times for parcels entering and exiting affected areas will be longer than usual. The company will closely monitor changes in the weather and traffic conditions, and allocate resources responsibly to ensure the safe delivery of parcels.
