The capsizing of a ferry on Kariba Lake in Zimbabwe has resulted in 15 deaths and 27 people missing.
The Zimbabwean Civil Protection Department stated that on the 11th local time, an overloaded ferry capsized on Lake Kariba in Zimbabwe, resulting in at least 15 deaths, with 27 people still missing and 77 rescued. It is reported that there were 114 adult passengers and 5 crew members on board, but the actual number of passengers may be higher due to the possibility of children who had not yet reached the ticket-purchasing age. The ferry's approved capacity was 90 people.
