On August 12, Zhongke Haina announced on their official WeChat account that recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology officially released the "Production Enterprises and Products of Road Motor Vehicles," in which the sodium-ion battery swap tractor co-developed by Zhongke Haina and FAW Jiefang is listed. This model is the first heavy-duty truck under FAW Jiefang to be equipped with a sodium-ion power battery, marking an important breakthrough for Zhongke Haina in the commercial heavy-duty truck sector. The sodium-ion battery swap tractor's inclusion in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announcement signifies that sodium-ion battery technology has gained full recognition from mainstream automotive manufacturers and is accelerating towards commercial mass production. Beginning September 1, 2026, sodium-ion batteries will be exempt from consumption tax, and the cost advantage of sodium-ion heavy-duty trucks is expected to strengthen further.
