The Dawangtan Reservoir in Nanning, Guangxi, began to release water this morning.

According to the Nanning Water Authority in Guangxi, the Dawangtan Reservoir is continuing to operate above the flood limit water level. To ensure the safe operation of the reservoir dam, the flood discharge time will be from 8:00 am on August 12 to 8:00 am on August 16. Given the extended duration of the flood discharge, citizens are reminded to consciously stay away from the river channels within the flood discharge area and to strengthen their awareness of safety.
