In July, the retail penetration rate of new energy vehicles in the domestic overall passenger car market was 65.1%, an increase of 11.6 percentage points compared to the same period last year, and a month-on-month increase of 2.1 percentage points. In July, the penetration rate of new energy vehicles among domestic independent brands was 83.8%; among luxury vehicles, it was 30.9%; while the penetration rate for mainstream joint venture brands only rose to 13.7%. Looking at the monthly retail share of new energy vehicles, in July, the retail share of new energy vehicles from independent brands was 64.6%, a year-on-year decrease of 5.3 percentage points; the share for mainstream joint venture brands was 4.5%, a year-on-year increase of 0.9 percentage points; and the share for new forces was 26.8%, driven by brands such as Leap Motor and NIO, which contributed to a year-on-year increase of 5.4 percentage points in the share of new forces.
