Tianjin Maritime Safety Administration has initiated a Level 4 response for river flooding and drainage in its jurisdiction.
According to the latest meteorological information, affected by the residual circulation of Typhoon "White Dolphin" moving northward, it is expected that from the night of August 11 to August 13, Tianjin will experience heavy to torrential rainfall, with localized extreme rainfall. The flood discharge risk in the upstream Haihe River basin continues to overlap with the impacts of wind and rain brought by the typhoon. To effectively prepare for defense work, the Tianjin Maritime Department has implemented the flood prevention response deployment of Tianjin City and has activated a Level 4 response for flood discharge in the jurisdiction's waterways on August 11. Currently, various types of passenger vessels, including tourist boats, ferries, and yachts, have strictly adhered to the requirements of stopping operations as much as possible, closing down services, and evacuating when necessary, with all operations suspended to avoid flooding.
