The Houthi armed group stated that this operation is a response to Saudi Arabia's ongoing reinforcement of troops and transportation of equipment to the western coastal areas of Yemen and the Dhamar province, as well as military strikes. The statement pointed out that Yemen will adhere to the principle of "responding to blockade with blockade, and escalation with escalation", continuously monitoring and accurately striking any military gatherings targeting the people of Yemen and the Free Provinces.
