Flight cancellations, train suspensions, and ferry service disruptions in the Yangtze River Delta region... The impact of the typhoon continues to expand.
Due to the impact of this year's No. 13 typhoon "White Dolphin," the operational capacity at Shanghai Pudong Airport and Hongqiao Airport has declined today, with nearly 60% of incoming and outgoing flights reduced or canceled. A total of 1,384 scheduled flights at both airports have been canceled, including 871 at Pudong Airport and 513 at Hongqiao Airport. Hangzhou Airport has seen 270 incoming and outgoing flights canceled by various airlines. Since the start of operations today, all ground and elevated sections of the Shanghai Metro network have been operating at a reduced speed, and subsequent adjustments to train schedules will be dynamically made based on changes in the typhoon path, wind speed, rainfall, and the actual impact on operations. In case of emergencies, service suspensions may be implemented to ensure passenger safety. All ferry services in Shanghai have been suspended. Furthermore, due to the influence of this year's No. 13 typhoon "White Dolphin," the Hangzhou Bay Cross-Sea Bridge is currently closed in both directions and prohibits all passage.
