The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs has deployed preventive measures and responses to Typhoon "Baihaitun."

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs recently made arrangements for the prevention and response to Typhoon "Bai Hai Tun," requiring various regions to strengthen responsibilities, enhance monitoring and early warning systems, take preventive measures, facilitate post-disaster recovery, and provide guidance services, all with the aim of reducing the impact of disasters and ensuring the safety of people's lives and property. At the same time, in collaboration with the China Meteorological Administration, they are continuously discussing the trend of the typhoon and its impact on agricultural production, and jointly releasing warnings for farmland flooding and wind damage. According to the "Emergency Plan for Major Agricultural Natural Disasters," the agricultural flood and typhoon emergency response has been activated for seven provinces: Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Fujian, Jiangxi, and Shandong. Guidance has been provided to stockpile 7.2 million kilograms of seeds, over 1,000 tons of pesticides and disinfectants, and 25,000 disaster relief equipment items including agricultural water pumps and dryers, to assist in harvesting mature crops and catching aquatic products, reinforcing farming facilities, and organizing 1,059 fishing boats to return to port and 22,000 people to come ashore in the affected areas. Moving forward, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs will closely monitor the movement of the typhoon, intensify monitoring and early warning efforts, strengthen risk investigation, promptly assess rainfall and disaster situations, implement agricultural safety production measures, and guide recovery efforts after the disaster.
