Affected by this year's No. 13 typhoon "Bai Dolphin," it is expected that from the night of August 8 to 9, waves of 3-5 meters, ranging from large to massive, will occur in the southern coastal waters of Jiangsu; the nearshore waters of Nantong will see waves of 2.5-3.8 meters, ranging from moderate to large. From September 9 to 10, a storm surge of 50-100 centimeters will occur along the coastal areas of Jiangsu. The Jiangsu Provincial Department of Natural Resources issued a yellow warning for waves on August 8 and, in accordance with the "Jiangsu Provincial Marine Disaster Emergency Plan," initiated a Level 4 emergency response for marine disasters in Nantong City at noon on August 8.
