The South-to-North Water Diversion Project's central route has surpassed 80 billion cubic meters of water transfer.

According to data released by the China South-to-North Water Diversion Group, as of August 7, the cumulative water transfer from the South-to-North Water Diversion Central Route has exceeded 80 billion cubic meters, benefiting nearly 118 million people in Henan, Hebei, Tianjin, and Beijing. This has provided strong water resource support for the economic and social development of 27 major and medium-sized cities and 243 counties along the route. Over the nearly 12 years of water supply, the South-to-North Water Diversion Central Route has played a full role in optimizing water resource allocation, ensuring safe drinking water for the public, reviving river and lake ecosystems, and facilitating the economic circulation between the north and south, thus providing solid support for national water security.
