T-Mobile CEO Srini Gopalan stated in an interview that the threat posed by satellite internet services such as SpaceX's Starlink has been exaggerated. Gopalan remarked that he has never seen how Starlink genuinely solves consumer problems. He believes that satellite technology will continue to exist as a "supplement" to existing networks.
