It has been reported on social media by someone claiming to be an employee of 58.com that the company will initiate multiple rounds of personnel optimization plans, covering more than 830, 930, 1030, and 1130 time points. The planned scale of sales personnel across all business lines is set to shrink from 16,000 at the beginning of the year to 6,000. In the comments section of the post, another person claiming to be a 58.com employee stated, "The goal is to gradually control the number under 6,000, not to stop at 6,000." In response to this rumor, Sina Technology sought confirmation from 58.com but had not received a reply by the time of publication.
