Shanxi issues dual alerts for mountain floods and geological disasters

On the morning of August 7, the Shanxi Provincial Department of Natural Resources and the Shanxi Provincial Meteorological Bureau jointly issued a meteorological risk warning for geological disasters. It is expected that from 8:00 AM on August 7 to 8:00 AM on August 8, the warning level for meteorological risks of geological disasters in certain areas of Yangquan City, including urban, mining, and suburban districts, as well as Pingding County, Yun County, the county of Pingshun in Changzhi City, Lingchuan County in Jinzhong City, and Xiangfen County in Linfen City, will be at level 3, indicating a higher risk of geological disasters. Governments, departments, and the public in the aforementioned areas should take appropriate precautionary measures based on the warning level, strengthen inspections before the rain, patrols during the rain, and verifications after the rain. In addition, the Shanxi Provincial Department of Water Resources and the Shanxi Provincial Meteorological Bureau have jointly issued a meteorological risk warning for mountain flood disasters.
