U.S. media: Cracks found in components, the U.S. orders inspections of hundreds of Boeing aircraft.

According to a report by CNN on the local time of the 6th, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in the United States has ordered crack inspections on hundreds of Boeing 737 MAX series aircraft and warned that if any damage goes undetected, the structural integrity of the planes may be compromised. The FAA stated that cracks have been found in some reinforcements around the forward service door on the right side of the fuselage of certain aircraft. Airlines must inspect the relevant areas according to the usage of each aircraft on a specified schedule and repair all cracks before the aircraft can resume operations. This new airworthiness directive is expected to involve approximately 471 Boeing 737 MAX 8, MAX 9, and MAX 8200 aircraft registered in the United States. Boeing stated in a press release that the company has initiated engineering analysis to determine the cause of the cracks and is studying engineering design improvements to prevent similar issues from occurring in the future.
