The confidence survey for the banking, insurance, and asset management industry in the third quarter shows: the confidence in equity investments has rebounded month-on-month, and the willingness of the surveyed institutions to allocate funds has increased.
Recently, the China Banking and Insurance Asset Management Association conducted a survey of 198 institutions, resulting in the Investment Confidence Index for the banking and insurance asset management industry for the third quarter of 2026. The survey results indicate that the investment confidence index for equities in the banking and insurance asset management industry has rebounded compared to the second quarter, with both risk appetite and allocation willingness for equities showing a simultaneous recovery, and a stronger consensus on structural opportunities. The China Banking and Insurance Asset Management Association stated that the overall allocation strategy of banking and insurance asset management institutions remains stable, with most maintaining existing positions and optimizing their portfolios through slight structural adjustments. Different types of institutions exhibit differentiated preferences in allocation. Among them, surveyed insurance institutions are optimistic about equities, bonds, and securities investment funds in the second half of the year; while surveyed bank wealth management institutions are optimistic about fixed income + assets.
