Life sciences and electronic business drive growth simultaneously, Merck Germany's Q2 results exceed expectations and raise full-year earnings guidance.
Wisdom Finance APP has learned that, thanks to the strong performance of its laboratory equipment and electronic business, Germany's Merck Group (Merck KGaA) released better-than-expected second-quarter earnings on Thursday and raised its full-year profit and sales guidance. The company expects adjusted EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) for the full year to reach between 5.9 billion and 6.3 billion euros (approximately 6.8 billion to 7.3 billion dollars), up from the previous expectation of 5.7 billion to 6.1 billion euros. The upper limit of the full-year net sales forecast has been raised to 21.8 billion euros, up from the previous 21.4 billion euros.
