The National Ocean Forecasting Center has issued an orange alert for waves.

The reporter learned from the Ministry of Natural Resources that due to the impact of Typhoon "Baihaitun," the National Ocean Forecast issued an orange wave warning at 8 a.m. today. From the morning of August 6 to the morning of August 7, there will be violent waves of 6 to 10 meters in the eastern part of the East China Sea, with a wave warning level of orange for the nearshore waters; the nearshore waters of Zhejiang are expected to have moderate to rough waves of 2 to 3 meters, with a wave warning level of blue. Ships operating in the above-mentioned waters are urged to pay attention to safety, and relevant coastal units should take measures in advance to prevent and avoid waves.
