According to reporters from the Guangdong Power Grid, Guangdong's total electricity consumption in July surpassed 100 billion kilowatt-hours, reaching 100.798 billion kilowatt-hours, making it the first province in the country to exceed this milestone in a single month. From January to July this year, the total electricity consumption in Guangdong reached 572.280 billion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 7.67%, maintaining a steady growth trend that supports the province's economic and social development. Industrial electricity consumption is the main driver of this growth, with new momentum in high-end manufacturing continuing to gain strength. From January to July, electricity consumption in Guangdong's secondary industry was 328.351 billion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 7.84%. Among these, electricity consumption in high-tech and equipment manufacturing industries grew by 8.77% year-on-year, with the automotive manufacturing industry, special equipment manufacturing industry, and computer/communication and other electronic device manufacturing industry posting the highest growth rates, continuously releasing new momentum.
