Today there is important news in the semiconductor sector. According to a report by the Korean IT media outlet "DigitalDaily," citing industry insiders, Apple previously considered incorporating Chinas ChangXin Memory into its new supply chain to reduce costs, but is now encountering resistance in negotiations to further lower procurement prices. Recently, Apple has been negotiating with ChangXin Memory over supply prices for LPDDR5X and other mobile DRAMs to alleviate manufacturing cost pressures for the next generation of iPhones and other smart devices, but its price reduction requests have been rejected. It is understood that the quotes insisted upon by ChangXin Memory are even higher than those from Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix, or at least similar to their levels. The reason ChangXin Memory feels confident in firmly rejecting Apple's price cut demands lies in the large-scale "bulk purchases" being made by Chinese tech giants such as Huawei and Xiaomi. In this situation, ChangXin Memory has no need to lower prices or reduce profits to meet Apple's complex and stringent quality certification and price reduction requests. Some analysts believe that the strong domestic market demand in China provides robust price support for ChangXin Memory. (China Fund News)
