China Iron and Steel Association: In the first half of the year, China imported a total of 2.696 million tons of steel, a year-on-year decrease of 11.3%.

According to the Zhitong Finance APP, the China Steel Industry Association has released the monthly report on steel product imports and exports for June. In June, China exported 10.32 million tons of steel, a month-on-month decrease of 0.2%; the average export price was $710.8 per ton, a month-on-month increase of 1.9%. From January to June, Chinas total steel exports reached 54.874 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 5.6%; the average export price was $701.1 per ton, a slight year-on-year increase of 0.3%. In June, China imported 441,000 tons of steel, a month-on-month decrease of 2.2%; the average import price was $1,925.8 per ton, a month-on-month increase of 14.1%. From January to June, Chinas total steel imports amounted to 2.696 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 11.3%; the average import price was $1,796.4 per ton, a year-on-year increase of 5.3%.
