Haixi New Drugs (02637): HX9428 for the treatment of neovascular age-related macular degeneration has received IND approval from the US FDA to initiate Phase II clinical trials, while a second Phase II clinical trial with a positive control has been launched in China.

Zhihui Finance APP reported that Haixi New Drug (02637) announced that the Investigational New Drug (IND) application for its self-developed innovative drug project HXP056, candidate drug molecule HX9428, for the treatment of neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD, also known as wet age-related macular degeneration or wAMD), has been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The approved IND encompasses a Phase II clinical trial plan aimed at evaluating the efficacy and safety of different oral doses of HX9428 in U.S. patients with nAMD.
