The Ministry of Education has released guidelines to launch the "Learning by Doing" initiative for science education during the compulsory education phase.

Recently, the Ministry of Education issued the "Guidelines for the 'Learning by Doing' Navigation Action in Science Education during the Compulsory Education Stage," deploying the "Learning by Doing" navigation action in science education. The guidelines clarify the goals and content requirements of the navigation action. The focus of the navigation action is to deepen, integrate, and expand science-related courses, concentrating on "real problems," guiding students to pay attention to practical production and life, understand the changes in technological development, and engage in interdisciplinary inquiry practices. This aims to help students master scientific methods, develop scientific thinking abilities, and comprehensively enhance scientific literacy. Schools and localities should leverage their regional resource advantages and educational characteristics while considering the actual circumstances of students to design and implement scientific inquiry practice tasks, emphasizing the synergy between science education and humanities education. To facilitate implementation, the guidelines provide thematic examples and task examples, such as "Life and Health," "Ecological Environment," "Secrets of the Earth," "Aerospace," "Emerging Industries," and "Artificial Intelligence," for reference by localities and schools.
