SK Hynix and SanDisk release the first standard specification for HBF.

SK Hynix announced that it has launched the industry's first standard specifications for high bandwidth flash memory in collaboration with SanDisk. HBF is part of the next-generation storage technology. This milestone achievement came about six months after the two companies formed the alliance. Google and Tenstorrent also joined the HBF alliance. HBF represents a new storage tier between high bandwidth memory and solid-state drives; this technology combines the high-speed data transmission capabilities close to HBM with the substantial storage capacity expansion enabled by NAND flash technology.
