The "14th Five-Year Plan" for the construction of the new power system was released yesterday. The plan specifies that during the "14th Five-Year" period, China will optimize the layout of various resources such as pumped storage and new energy storage, strengthening its capability for power supply security. The plan points out that during the "14th Five-Year" period, China will optimize the arrangement of various resources. It will accelerate the construction of pumped storage power stations, promote the large-scale development of new energy storage, and enrich the application scenarios of new energy storage. Additionally, it will advance the upgrading and transformation of a new generation of coal power. By 2030, the installed capacity of pumped storage power stations nationwide is expected to reach around 160 million kilowatts, while the installed capacity of new energy storage is projected to reach 300 million kilowatts. The scale of adjustable charging from vehicle-grid interaction is expected to reach 50 million kilowatts.
