On July 31, Suzhou traffic police, in collaboration with multiple departments, launched a new traffic management measure that extends the timing for delivery riders at red lights, making it the first of its kind in the country. A reporter's on-site interviews revealed that several riders, while waiting at red lights during their deliveries, saw a countdown timer on their phones indicating the red light duration, along with a reminder that said, "Pause at the red light, recording waiting time." After completing the delivery, a popup displayed the total accumulated waiting time at red lights. This system aims to reduce pressure and promote safety, allowing riders to comply with the law without suffering losses.
