China - Uzbekistan AEO Mutual Recognition Arrangement Officially Implemented

Today, the mutual recognition arrangement for "Authorized Economic Operator" (AEO) between China and Uzbekistan officially came into effect, further enhancing the level of trade facilitation between the two countries. After the AEO mutual recognition arrangement is implemented, the Chinese customs and the Uzbek customs will offer several facilitative measures for recognized AEO enterprises during the import clearance of goods: a lower inspection rate for imported goods; priority inspection for goods that require physical checks; the designation of customs liaison officers responsible for addressing issues encountered by project members during clearance; and priority clearance after international trade is interrupted and subsequently restored.
