On August 1, 2026, at 10:00, the Jilin Provincial Water Resources Department and the Jilin Provincial Meteorological Bureau jointly issued an orange warning for meteorological risk of mountain flood disasters: It is expected that from the daytime of August 1 to the daytime of August 2, there is a high likelihood of mountain flood disasters occurring in Wangqing County, Yanbian Prefecture; there is a relatively high probability of mountain flood disasters in Shulan City and Jiaohe City of Jilin City, as well as Dunhua City and Hunchun City of Yanbian Prefecture; other areas may also be affected by localized short-term heavy rainfall leading to mountain flood disasters.
