The Hebei section of the Xiong'an High-Speed Railway has entered the operational testing phase.
At 7:00 AM on August 1, with the departure of train G55371 from Xiong'an Station, the Hebei section of the Xiong-Shang High-speed Railway officially entered the trial operation stage, making the final push towards opening for operation. The Xiong-Shang High-speed Railway starts from Xiong'an Station on the Beijing-Xiong Intercity Railway and ends at Shangqiu Station on the Shanghe-Hangzhou High-speed Railway, with a total length of 552 kilometers and a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. As an important component of China's "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway network, the Xiong-Shang High-speed Railway links the Shangqiu-Hefei High-speed Railway and the Hefei-Anqing-Jiujiang High-speed Railway to the south, connects with the under-construction Nanchang-Jiujiang High-speed Railway, and ties into the Nanchang-Ganzhou High-speed Railway, Ganzhou-Shenzhen High-speed Railway, and the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong High-speed Railway, thus forming a crucial north-south high-speed railway corridor with significant regional network importance.
