Chinese Academy of Engineering academician Lu Jianxun passed away at the age of 97

On July 24, the Seventh Research Institute of China Shipbuilding Group Limited issued an obituary. Comrade Lu Jianxun, a member of the Communist Party of China and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, former director and party secretary of the Seventh Research Institute of the China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation, passed away in Beijing at 18:31 on July 23, 2026, at the age of 97, due to ineffective medical treatment for illness.
